Inside, Jacob finds himself sitting amongst a group of people who appeared very secretive. The stranger instructs Jacob of the people and their ideals. They are referred to as the Mythologists, a secret society that intends to bring the world to a different place through subtle action in the public. The stranger gives Jacob his name, being Deimos and warns him of supernatural entities who deem the Mythologists a threat to the natural world. Once Jacob took his leave, he is visited by the Visitant Outlander, one of the spiritual entities who warns Jacob of the Mythologists’ true nature and foretold Jacob’s world is about to open up much wider than he planned.

On the mission, Creed meets with the Caretaker in a cemetery on Intel concerning Medieval and his power. The Caretaker talks of the time he fought against Medieval during the Third Crusade and while they discuss, they’re attacked by Middle Age, a spirit who works for Medieval. Middle Age knocks the two into a rift, causing them to travel back in time to the Third Crusades in the middle of a battle between the Crusaders and the Saracens in the year 1202 AD. Creed and Caretaker moved through the battle, only to see the Creed who lived during the Crusades make his arrival, a Knightcreed as well as a medieval Death Chaser. Through the battle, Medieval made himself known, using a shotgun against Creed. Both were close to defeat until the Knightcreed aided them against Medieval Knightcreed helps them return to the present day with the assistance of the Death Chaser, referred to as Lord Klarson. Creed and Caretaker return to the modern-day, leaving Medieval trapped in the Crusades. Upon returning, they uncover the rising presence of Adrambadon’s return.

As that battle takes place, John Clarkson and Widow meet with Madame LoCasta in a spiritual search for Demonticronto. In the skies, the Chaser burned Shinow with his sinfire as it consumed the demon completely. Dieheart being displeased, sends out the third demon known as Flrange to lead the Chaser into the Firmament. Elsewhere, Dieheart intervenes in John and Widow’s ongoing operations, citing the Chaser’s anger will be centered on the two of them due to using a medium to complete their work. The two forces battle it out in the dark waters. The Chaser combined the sinfire with the waters to evaporate Flrange.
