Giving new readers who don’t mind SPOILERS and those whom have already read something pertaining to the series a look at what’s happened from the start. Continuing the series with Magicks & Mysticism: Book 9 of the Dark Titan Universe Saga.
Magicks & Mysticism returns its focus to the supernatural allies and enemies within the Dark Titan Universe. Returning to the mysteries of Travis Vail, Creed, Death Chaser, Cinderella, Darkous of the Astrals, and others.
Magicks & Mysticism features eight stories:
Creed: Hell Risen: The third of the Creed saga. After a series of murders are committed near Hartford, Connecticut, Creed arrives and discovers remnants of brimstone in the crime scene. Speaking with Ananchel, she begins to tell him of a demonic figure named after the burning stone who’s on the hunt for him. Creed welcomes the fight and travels to an open field. In the open field, Creed calls out Brimstone and his appears. Warning Creed of his tampering with time in his fight against Medieval, the Cryptic Zone and Hell are communicating on a spiritual level, Creed welcomes the fight and is attacked by Brimstone, who transports them both into Hell itself. Creed and Brimstone battle in the depths of Hell. Creed eventually overcomes Brimstone’s power and defeats him, returning to the world above. Upon his return, Ananchel warns him of a mystical power interrupting the balance, suggesting Creed meet with Doctor Fortune.
Death Chaser: Deadly Protector: The third of the Death Chaser saga. Nightmares have struck several homes across the United States over the past week, the Chaser heads out to investigate, seeing the attacks aren’t from Nightmare, he searches to learn more. Speaking with Robin Knight and Widow concerning their uneasy feelings of being hunted, the trio are attacked by a raging beast called Bloodhound, Ink Man, and Dream Seeker. Before Chaser could make a strike, Seeker teleports Bloodhound and Ink Man from their sight. Madame LoCasta speaks with the Chaser to his own disinterest. Elsewhere, Robin Knight and Widow are confronted by Ink Man, who’s hunting them down with his living tattoos. After LoCasta warns Chaser of a coming tribulation, he leaves and fights against Ink Man, stripping his tattoos from his body, leaving him in blood and torn skin. Ink Man tells Chaser the only way to defeat the Dream Seeker is to enter the mind of one who’s asleep. Thereby, Widow offered herself up to be the vessel. Death Chaser and Robin Knight clash against the Dream Seeker in Widow’s mind. The two defeat the Dream Seeker after a clashing bout to save Widow’s mind. Once she awoke, the Chaser and Knight had exited her mind. With the Seeker defeated, the Chaser is confronted by the Visitant Outlander as he explains Doctor Fortune will need his help against a spiritual adversary.
Travis Vail, Spirit-Seeker: The Past and The Future: The third of The Spirit-Seeker saga. Travis Vail arrives in St. Louis, Missouri to uncover a mystery which is brining elements of the past and future into the present. Upon arriving, he is greeted by Dr. Galen Donovan and Colton Levi as they discuss the recent events. Travis Vail also contacts Raynard Brown about certain historic elements related to the mystery. Investigating the scenery at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis, Vail is confronted by Liav Sivart, his demon counterpart. Clashing in wits of fire, the demon evaporates after the appearance of Kamagrauto. Kamagrauto visits Vail and tells him of Balthazar being the culprit behind the St. Louis mystery. Travis Vail and Balthazar clash with their skills at the Gateway Arch, transporting them back and forth between the past, present, and future and through several realms.
The Devilhunter: Coven of Dread: The third of The Devilhunter saga. Abraham, Evan, and Andrea investigate a suburban home which is said to be haunted by the Hookman. During the night, the Hookman attacks them with Abraham sending the spirit away. Before the Hookman vanished, he warned Abraham of a growing Coven living in D.C. Abraham took the Hookman’s word to heart and learned of some mystical power surrounding D.C. in heading out to investigate the listed locations, he clashes with Sierra the Succubus during his investigation in finding the Coven. Elsewhere, Evan and Andrea discover an abandoned castle ruin which is covered with sigils. Returning to the Center, Evan and Andrea inform Abraham of the castle ruins and the sigils. He believes it to be the home of the Coven. Returning their way out, they are greeted by the Countess of the Coven itself. Abraham, Evan, and Andrea used all the skills they possess in defeating the Countess and her Coven.
Doctor Fortune: Spiritual Godfare: The third of the Doctor Fortune saga. While Doctor Fortune continues to train Tom Bradley in the mystic arts, the Citadel is attacked by the Followers of Stroh. Fortune, Bradley, and Huang fight off the followers before their leader, King Stroh the Conqueror arrives and proclaims the mystic powers his own. In fighting the Conqueror, Fortune learns of another figure alongside Stroh, Celd himself. Celd and Stroh combine their power and defeat the three sorcerers. Fortune, Bradley, and Huang travel to Centro to meet with Sinister Judge, who is also dealing with the mystical power surging. The two sorcerers clash before coming to an agreement in taking out Stroh and Celd. However, Judge informs Fortune of another mystical power pulling the strings, one he can’t see with the natural eye. While discussing plans, Fortune believed they need another hand and transported himself to Morhana’s home, where the two spoke concerning the ongoing events. Preparing to make their mark, Palace Judge is surrounded by Followers of Stroh, in which Judge sends out his Judgedroids to do battle. With the battle ongoing, Fortune, Huang, Bradley, Morhana, and Judge transport into the Mystic Dimension. The Mystic Father appears before them to Judge’s disgust and warns them of the sorcerer responsible. Fortune’s team and Judge are greeted in the Mystic Dimension by Spellface, the entity who’s caused all of the current events and the beholder of the surging mystical power. Before the fight, Spellface tossed Huang and Morhana out of the dimension to the Citadel where they found themselves staring at Moronic Ones, demonic forces from the Dimensions. Within Celd’s Dimension, Fortune and Bradley clash against Celd and Spellface as Judge contends with Stroh. Elsewhere back on Earth, Huang and Morhana deal with the ramifications of the mystical power, seeing more of Stroh’s followers and Moronic Ones attacking them. Through the battle in the Mystic Realm, seeing the combined powers of Celd and Spellface being too strong for the two sorcerers, Creed arrives to aid them. Fortune, Creed, and Bradley use all of their power to defeat Celd and Spellface. Judge easily overtakes Stroh before the Time Entity transports away. With the battle won, Judge returns to Centro and warns Fortune this does not make them allies, only unified sorcerers to a cause which would’ve sought out them both. With Bradley’s newfound power, Fortune proclaims him to be known in the mystic realm as Doctor Mysticism.
The Man Called Fable: Magic and Seek: The third of The Man Called Fable saga. Taking a walk through Manchester, Fable is visited by Pandora who warns him the Hidden Four requesting a meeting. Fable enters the Rift where he is told by the Four the African Spider God, Ananse has been set loose and they need him to find him. Traveling to Africa, Fable uncovers strange activities which the locals are presenting as the work of Ananse. Meeting a Shaman Badru, who informs Fable of Ananse’s actions and the ways of his findings. Entering the Rift through a mystical door in Ethiopia, Ananse reveals himself to Fable. Fable clashes with Ananse. Fable defeats Ananse as the Hidden Four arrive to bring him in. Fable returns to Manchester and begins hearing stories of a darker power at work.
Doctor Dark: Dimensions and Seasons: The third of the Doctor Dark saga. Darkous learns of the sudden release of folkloric figures and deities from other dimensions whom have made it their mission to only appear at certain seasons of a year. Darkous’ first mission is to find Cupid and end his attacks against the living. Carol Hunters and Malach HaMavet are going into investigating the possibility of other folklore figures. Desire, another Astral speaks with Darkous about Cupid’s wrongdoings and how she approves of them. Darkous travels back in time to Ancient Mesopotamia where he confronts the Mesopotamian goddess known as Astarte or Ishtar. Darkous confronts her army before facing her and placing her within a stone wall, leaving her there for eternity. He steps on her blood-covered eggs and destroys the altars dedicated to her. Gabriel the Archangel speaks with Darkous about Ishtar and the other gods the nations worship. Darkous and Beatrice face the Jack O’ Lantern on All Hallows’ Eve. Afterwards, Darkous speaks with Beauty in the Astral Dimension. During the western world’s Thanksgiving tradition, the Norse Gods have appeared from their domain and are causing havoc across the eastern world and are making their way toward the west. Darkous must stop them in order to understand why they’ve risen from their dimensions. Darkous fights against the trickery of Loki and the power of Woden. Carol and Malach find the primary home of the Mythologists, which they enter and find a treasure trove of ancient artifacts and weaponry. The Mythologists enter the home as both Carol and Malach make an escape. Uriel the Archangel assists Darkous against Loki and Woden. Darkous faces off against Father Christmas in a city filled with heathenism and reveling during saturnalia and the Winter Solstice. Darkous fights off the heathens and gentiles in the crowded streets before confronting Father Christmas. Jack Frost assists Darkous against Father Christmas and Materialisa, Darkous’ Astral sister. Darkous heads toward the Gate of Time where he confronts Janus, the god of beginnings and ends. Before Darkous locks Janus into a pit of darkness, Janus tells him of a group called the Dark Hunters and they’re on the hunt for Darkous and the other Astrals. Darkous speaks with Michael the Archangel, who confirms the words of Janus and tells Darkous to prepare himself for the Dark Hunters.
Heaven Has Called: Magicks & Mysticism: The third of the Heaven Has Called Saga. Travis Vail meets with Gabriel Abraham as they speak of a strange darkness over the earth. Papa Afterlife enters the Center to tell them of the darkness and how it’s harnessed by a Mordecai Gascoyne. Fable meets with Cinderella as Manchester is attacked by Emblem. Elsewhere, Vail and Abraham gather up the team members as they’ve learned powerful forces are working together. The team visits Doctor Fortune at the Citadel of Enchantment as they ask for his assistance. Fortune agrees. Fortune helps Vail and Abraham by contacting the others in their respective places. The team discuss plans as they will split up to discover the sources of the darkness. Doctor Fortune, Creed, Death Chaser, Ghost of England, and the Visitant Outlander enter the Dark Wilderness to uncover the darkness’s source. On the other end, Vail, Abraham, Fable, Cinderella, and Dark Manhunter search Washington D.C. for any traces of the darkness. During their searches, they’re attacked by the Demon Travis Vail and the Demon Gabriel Abraham. Fortune’s team runs into Elizabeth Bathory, who seeks to stop them in their tracks, leading to a four-on-one fight before the Mutant-Thing arrives and handles Bathory himself. The team regroups as Vail discovers Gascoyne is planning to bring forth his plan in London and the team travels there to stop them. Heaven’s Called takes the fight against Gascoyne, Dr. Hoff, Emblem, and Elizabeth Bathory in London, England. The team is nearly defeated until the arrival of Darkous as he clears the battle and defeats Gascoyne, Hoff, Emblem, and Bathory. Afterwards, Fortune is visited by the Pardoner.
The next chapter of this series will set focus toward the Spin-Offs of the series. From Maveth, The Death-Bringer, the Curse of the Mutant-Thing, to the Old Northern West, and a war between thunder gods.
