The story of U.S. Marshal and Detective Brant Harper continues in a neo-noir/crime-thriller/crime-horror novella of a case within the unsettling town of Point Hope, Connecticut after solving his previous case on The Pleasure Man.

In this story, Detective Harper learns of another mysterious figure lurking throughout the boundaries of Point Hope. A killer who leaves his victims without their heads. A trail leading to another. Without the aid of his department, Harper will seek to solve this mystery of the Head-Collector.
