History of the Dark Titan Universe Saga: Part 1: Dark Titan Knights
Welcome to the beginning of “History of the Dark Titan Universe Saga”. A series of articles focused on the events within the Literary Dark Titan Universe.
Giving new readers who don’t mind SPOILERS and those whom have already read something pertaining to the series a look at what’s happened from the start and what’s to come with Dynasty Wars, the finale of the series releasing on December 6th. This series will be going by chronology including the main titles, spin-offs, and One-Shot stories.
Beginning the series with Dark Titan Knights.
Dark Titan Knights is the introduction to the Literary Dark Titan Universe. Featuring separate stories focused on certain characters and/or teams. Giving the reader an introduction to each character who will be featured throughout the series.
Death in Retropolis: The first story of Dark Titan Knights. Focused on The Swordman and his workings in the grim city of Retropolis. This story features Swordman stopping a strange woman who the police were already chasing. The woman proclaims herself to be The Swordman’s opposite. A yin to a yang. The Swordman leaves her with the authorities as he returns home, speaking to his wife Allison about the incident as Commissioner James Austin of the Retropolis Police Department speaks with the woman in Pegasus Prison. Getting nothing out of her, Swordman arrives at the prison in secret. The woman gives him enough nods to confirm his suspicion that she is Death. Death in the flesh.
Alliance Settled: The second story. Focused on Taltus. In this story, Stephanie Vale, a reporter and her assistant Alex Havens go out to speak with those who’ve seen Taltus in action. Upon meeting many others, they come across an elderly couple who know more about Taltus than most of Enigma City. Elsewhere, Kex Kendrick, a wealthy businessman sees the appearances of the “rising heroes” as a sign of a decline in morality and humanism. Kex tells his assistant, Beatrice Mercer that the heroes will only give way to “Hero Worship” and someone must stop it. Enigma City is attacked by a creature only known as the Dragon Gargoyle, leading the way for Taltus to make himself known as he battled the Gargoyle into defeat. While sitting in his office, Kex is visited by Zeus, the Greek God of Thunder, whom seeks to talk to Kex about Taltus’ appearance to humanity.
The Scavenger’s Hunt: The third story. Centered around Nathan Hawke, a man who survived a grave injury with the help of bio-nanotechnolgy, which flows through his veins. He meets with Alice Jacobs, his assistant as they go to a business meeting alongside business partners, Niles Valcrow and Jon Cramer with KexInc., Kex Kendrick’s company. Unable to meet with Kendrick, Nathan hears about the city of Newark being invaded by a flying man and leaves the meeting to suit up in his Nano Man exo-suit to confront the flying man. Once he went out into Newark, the flying man called himself Geier and fought against Nano Man. Nano Man defeated Geier, saving the city. In the prison, Geier is visited by Niles, who asked if Nathan knew about the plan, to which Geier said no.
ADDER’s Game: The fourth story. Following Adam Watson, known as Commander Norland alongside his team of soldiers called the Champions as they move on a mission to ambush a secret base which is being operated by Crimson Suk. Norland’s team move through the base, fighting against ADDER soldiers before confronting Madame Cobra and Anton Kozlov, known as the Iron Crane. After the mission, Adam speaks with Professor Flm about his hidden abilities of ice, due to being resurrected on the battlefield by an entity calling itself Lord Blizzard.
Noldar’s Trickery: The fifth story. Entering the realms of Eragard, the home-world of the Millennium Gods. Following Theus, the Millennium God of Thunder as he breaks in between an ongoing war between the light and dark elves. Breaching their treaty of committing acts of war on Eragardian grounds, Theus speaks with Eden and Meredith, the King and Queen of Eragard concerning the war. Afterwards, they are invaded by Frost Giants, which Theus rallies his group of Lady Soya and the Mighty Trio. All of the events were orchestrated by Noldar, the Millennium God of Guile who travels to Abaddon, the realm of the dead to speak with Hadi, the Millennium Goddess of Death about eliminating Theus from existence. Back on Eragard, Theus travels to the Asbru to meet with Vindhler, who tells him of the rising heroes on Earth. Later, a festival is held in Eragard before being invaded by Noldar, his mistress Illianna, and two other Millennium Gods of Lordi and Arnos. Theus, Soya, and the Trio defeat the four invaders, imprisoning them. After which, Noldar stood in the middle of the cell, speaking to someone unseen saying he’s inside the Eragardian prison, just as they agreed.
Into The Woods: The sixth story. Following Kent Brock’s alter-ego, The Unstoppable Beast being chased by the U.S. and Canadian military deep in the woods of the Boreal Forests. Soldiers begun searching for him, eventually finding him and grazing his leg with a bullet. The pain transformed Kent into the Beast and the monster savagely kills some of the soldiers before they get the signal to leave the forest. The Beast himself moved deeper into the forest, unable to be tracked.
The Supreme Enchanter: The seventh story which follows a young woman traveling through a snowy region near Nepal. There, she comes across a shack and knocks continuously until the door is answered by Doctor Donald Fortune. The woman claimed to see him to get rid of the demons which are harming her. Fortune allows her into his shack and prepares her for the exorcism, only this exorcism is done with the use of mystical magic in the power of Quinrinto and the Book of Durriken. The demons are cast away and the woman is saved. Fortune warns her not to return to the previous way of living in order to avoid the demons’ return. After she leaves, Fortune sits down and drinks a cup of tea with a sigh.
A Night in Los Angeles: The eighth story set in Los Angeles, California finds a bank being robbed by a group of criminals. The robbers attempt to leave the bank, but are stopped by The Voltage, who defeats them with humorous ease. The following day, the city of Los Angeles begins to call the hero, The Astonishing Voltage.
The Battle of The Kings: The ninth story. Set in the underwater kingdoms with Atlantis being the primary and dominant one. Atlantis is under attacked by the Sea-Stormers under the direction of The Sea Kaiser. The Atlantean army is led by Kular, also known as the Aqua-Barbarian. Kular and his army defeat Sea Kaiser and the Stormers. After the battle, Kular speaks with Kara about him and Kaiser’s history, they share a bond like brothers. Kular then talks with Novah, the Atlantean advisor concerning Kaiser. The following day, Kular sends out a signal to get Kaiser’s attention and he does with the Sea-Stormers to follow. With no truce being made, they battled again with Kular and Kaiser entering the palace in combat. With hesitation, Kular eventually killed Kaiser, who claimed it was the only way to stop the war. The battle was over and days after, Novah tells Kular the battle between them has been written into their history as “The Battle of The Kings”.
Quantum Mission: The tenth story centers around Isaac Edison, a scientist with peculiar interest in quantum technology and science. His rival Jarvis Tesla seeks to gain an upper hand on their competition. The modern-day Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison, only in opposite positions. Isaac heads out to JarvisTech headquarters, sneaking past the security as he don a dark blue suit which allowed him to change his size. What Isaac found in the headquarters were an arsenal of suits similar to his own designed for military use. Isaac shrunk the suits and left the headquarters, not without a scuffle with security. The next day, Jarvis came to the headquarters on business, seeing the suits were stolen, he knew Isaac had taken them and shared words with him over the phone. Afterwards, Isaac spoke with Michelle, a close friend who warned him of Jarvis’ temper and anger. Isaac said he would be ready for the challenge with the name “Atom-Zero” listen over the helmet to his suit.
Chaser of Souls: The eleventh story set in a dark alley with two men assaulting a woman to their own pleasure. It came to an abrupt end when they were confronted by the Death Chaser, a Soul of Retribution whom brought great fear into the men with one fleeing and the other one of the in a frozen state of fear with a technique called the Cry of Repentance. the Chaser left after comforting the woman without a word, only from the deed.
The Purpose of Darkness and Light: The twelfth story centered around two untrained wizards whom discovered an ancient scroll with a spell written within. They recite the spell and in doing so, are visited by a cosmic being. Believing it to be their “Master”. they learned they have invoked the presence of Darkous of the Astrals. A powerful cosmic being who oversees all the darkness in the universe. Darkous sees the two wizards as trouble to the earth and blinds them due to their recklessness.
Arrow For Hire: The thirteenth story follows a man only known as the Hitman, looking at his next target, taking them out. The following day, Asher Dale, one of Las Vegas’ most profound businessman hears about the Hitman’s actions and seeks to do something about it. After greeting his close friend, Karen Harp and speaking with his mentor, Carvis Hoyt, Asher prepared himself, equipping himself with a dark-golden kevlar suit alongside a bow and quiver. Asher confronted the Hitman himself, tracking him down and defeats him. The Hitman was turned over to the authorities and only states he was taken down by the Q-Arrow, the Golden Archer.
The Avago Land: The fourteenth story follows a pair of travelers who stumble upon an undiscovered island near the coast of Africa in the Atlantic Ocean. While walking through the island, they are startled by the sudden appearances of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, which chases them through the trees. They escape the T-Rex’s path and are met by tribes-people. One of them in the front, looks far different than the tribesmen. He wore armor made of metal not known to the modern world. Eric, one of the travels began asking questions concerning the island and the armor. The wearer declined his questions and only asked them to leave. Eric began to pressure the man to lend over a small trinket of the armor, only bringing forth his death as his throat was sliced. The other travelers took their leave at the man’s command while a large saber-toothed liger devoured the body of Eric. They would never forget their journey into the Avago Land.
Chicago’s Guardian: The fifteenth story details a sighting from an eyewitness to a crime. The witness describes a devil-like figure, which saved her from dangerous harm in the city. The detective only believes the witness’ story to be nothing more than fantasy, until he saw the figure himself and knew Chicago had a unseen guardian. This guardian’s name is only referenced as the Devil-Knight. Devil-Knight was not present during The Risen Period Trilogy or The World of Heroes Trilogy. However, Devil-Knight makes his return in Underworld: Book 8. The second entry in The Heroes’ Path Trilogy.
Alley Brawl: The sixteenth story is set around fights in the city of Boston. Fights that are illegal according to law, held by many participants. One day, a fighter by the name of Mark Jensen, the head of the Crossbones of Boston gang sent out a challenge to anyone who would give him a proper and better fight. He was visited in the alley by two men, Jack Stone and Dante Hale. Their physiques were unsettling to the attendees, yet Jensen believed he could take them. Stone went ahead and accepted the fight, as Hale is more skilled with swords. Jensen attacked Stone with all he had, only there were no marks or bruises on Stone. His body was as if it was made of stone itself. Stone defeated Jensen with one single punch. The attendees were told to tell their Jensen that the East Coast Alliance will be handling matters in Boston from that point forward. Jack Stone and Dante Hale were not present during The Risen Period Trilogy or The World of Heroes Trilogy. However, the East Coast Alliance returned in Book 8: Underworld. The second entry in The Heroes’ Path Trilogy.
The Sly Detective: The seventeenth story is set in London with a pair of armed men guarding a warehouse which belonged to several of London’s politicians. Unaware, they are attacked by a woman who moves faster than their eyes can catch. The woman defeats them with quick ease before interrogating one of the armed men concerning a politician in mind. Upon receiving the answer, the woman fled from the scene as the police arrived. The only answer the man could give the police was, “Cinderella did this.”
Welcome to T.I.T.A.N.: The eighteenth story follows Max Martin, a young boy who’s returned home from school, only to be visited by Colonel Evan Nader. Nader has been watching Max for some time and decides to recruit him into T.I.T.A.N. Max, hesitant to leave his parents’ side, is told by Nader he has until the weekend to prepare himself, as his talents will be much needed. Max Martin was not present during The Risen Period Trilogy or The World of Heroes Trilogy. However, he makes his return in Underworld: Book 8. The second entry in The Heroes’ Path Trilogy.
The Abandoned Hotel: The nineteenth story. The story follows Vail investigating the Black Raven Hotel, a place which has been closed due to demonic hauntings. The hotel itself has thirteen floors and Vail investigated all of them alone. Vail came into contact with many spirits on each floor before making it to the thirteen, where he was confronted by Kamagrauto. A powerful demon who proclaimed itself to be a lieutenant demon and servant to Dagor The Soul Eater. Vail spoke with Kamagrauto, for the demon was highly intelligent and knew of Vail’s past experiences and all the investigations he’s completed. Kamagrauto told Vail concerning his future of a world working alongside others like himself against greater forces than mere ghosts and demons. Vail did not believe the demon’s words of others like himself existing except for Donovan, Colton, and the minor others. Yet, Vail’s world would grow in Tales of the Numinous, confirming Kamagrauto’s words.
The Party People: The twentieth story. Follows John Terror as he tracks down a group known as The Party People. While making deals in the city of Chicago, the knowing of Terror’s arrival begins to startle them with fear. Therefore, they flee the area just as he arrives. While they were gone, Terror checks the site and learns they’re doing business with someone in Retropolis. Terror takes his leave and heads toward Canada.
Preparation For The Coming: The twenty-first story. Set in the hidden kingdom of Mekeopia. Rashad Tabari, the King of the land makes his return after sometime away. Knowing what he now knows, Rashad intends to use it for the greater good. Although, there are others who live near the borders of the kingdom who oppose Rashad’s ruler-ship as well as his choices. His kingdom is suddenly under attacked by Air Shango, Kurto Hauko, and led by Madam Oyu. A challenge is made by Oyu against Rashad and a battle begins to take place. Rashad dons the armor of the Black Viscount and heads into battle.
Restoring One’s Motive: The twenty-second story deals with the aftermath of the Republic War, a war which waged several years before the events of Dark Titan Knights. Dameon Mason, a marine was gravely injured on the battlefield and was taken to be used as a subject for a secret project. Mason’s arms and legs from the knee down were amputated. His chest filled with shrapnel. Once the project began, they infused Mason with bio-nanotechnology similar to Nano Man. His arms and legs were replaced with bionic limbs. Mason awoke from the surgery two days after and was in anger. fighting against the doctors and soldiers who tried to maintain him. He looked at his chest and saw there was a reactor in place. Glowing and flowing through his body and limbs. His arms were set with firearms ranging from pistols to magnums. Boosters were placed under his feet. When discovering this, Mason took his leave with hesitance. It was this moment when they knew Bionic Rage was born and he has set vengeance in his heart toward Nathan Hawke, due to his weapon being the cause of his losses.
Knowing Who You Serve: The twenty-third story follows the Unholy Knight, Creed speaking with the angel Ananchel concerning a darker force coming toward the earth. Creed, aware of such things happening questions his purpose. Ananchel informs him his purpose has a meaning and he must live it out. Taking the words of Ananchel in, Creed begins on his mission to find the source of the darkness in the form of Adrambadon, lord of the Cryptic Zone.
A Con Man’s Game: The twenty-fourth story details Kurt Wesker, known as The Man Called Fable playing a card game with several magical creatures in a bar. Fable cheats his win in the game and is chased outside by the opponents. Only for Fable to use magic to cause one of the opponents to lose his mind, startling the others. Fable takes his leave, telling them to always remember his name.
Epoch One: The twenty-fifth story focuses on Professor Cullen Edge, whom had a vision of humanity and nubreeds living together in peace. Edge traveled across the world recruiting several nubreeds who were living in hiding to form a team to face the opposite force of General Rilla and the Fellowship of Nubreeds. Alongside Lois Frost, Edge names the team, the Yonderers.
We Are Who We Are: The twenty-sixth story centers around a group of inter-dimensional being known as the Unkinds. Led by Halo-Lock, they traveled from the arctic regions to a farm in the south. Landing the ship in the fields of the farm, Halo-Lock speaks with the farmer of the land, who isn’t caught off guard by their arrival due to the news of the rising heroes. The farmer brought them into his home, showing them a newspaper declaring the appearance of nubreeds. Halo-Lock, believing them to be the key of the species. Halo-Lock thanked the farmer for his good hospitality and they take their leave.
Targeted: The twenty-seventh story set in 1875 in the Northern West of Canada follows four men in hats. All known for their apparel colors of gray, white, brown, and black. The Four Hats discuss a stranger who’s been causing them problems. They look for ways to find the stranger and eliminate him from their concerns. To their own luck, the stranger arrives in the town, killing the four hats with consecutive shots. The stranger concludes he wants vengeance for all that’s been done. He is known as the Lone Outlaw as he rides out of town.
Running Before Time: The twenty-eighth story follows Doctor Amadeus Omega on the run from several soldiers who work for a man called Baron Eon. The soldiers enter Omega’s lab, stating he turn himself in. Omega refuses, entering a time machine and disappearing from their sights. Omega then finds himself in the modern day, realizing his machine worked by sending him from the future to the past.
Scouting Session: The twenty-ninth story follows Lieutenant Gage Hark entering Base 33, a secure underground prison. Inside Hark, led by a doctor walked through corridor of cells. Each cell contained a prisoner with enhanced abilities. Such prisoners were named Thunderstorm, Rapidshine, G-Zero, Shadow Tiger, Mistress Destroyer, and Doctor Streak. Hark made a list and left the base, returning to his boss, A.B., known as Adrian Brown. Hark handed her the list as she began to rally up a team.
In Time, They Will Know: The thirtieth story features a voice-over from the Specter Errant, who witnessed the previous twenty-nine stories. While speaking of them and where their futures are heading, Errant makes himself known to a stranger at a church, telling him to remember his face and his words. For the time is nearly at hand before vanishing into a bright light.
The next chapter of this series will set focus toward The Resistance Protocol, the following title of the Dark Titan Universe Saga series.
